I had an absolute blast creating this look! The inspiration? A perfect mix of dramatic stage lighting coupled with a retro Playboy aesthetic that just oozes vintage allure. I wanted every shot to feel like it belonged on the pages of a classic centerfold—moody, seductive, and dripping with that iconic nightlife glow.

What I love about this setup is how versatile it is—I was able to pull multiple killer looks from the same set, each with a totally different feel! I started with using star filters to catch the light just right, giving everything that on the stage, disco beat kind of vibe. 

Even without the star filter, these imagers were giving a mix of old school grunge and pinup!

Then, I shifted into this creamy, dreamy retro aesthetic, soft and cinematic, with rich tones that felt straight out of an old-school Playboy spread. Plus this specific lighting technique really cuts down on skin retouching, in fact, most of these images have none!

Next up, I took my fake cherries (yes, they're fake!) and snuck in a couple of Nudescapes® type images that I thought would really fill up a boudoir album and transition the storyline to the final look.

And the Cherry on top? I ended with bold, silhouettes—moody, striking, and full of that sultry burlesque mystery mixed with a bit of pop art to really drive the look home.

I couldn't believe the number of different looks that I could get out of this set simply by changing where a place my lights and by adding a few filters. It’s a total game-changer for pulling multiple killer looks out of one space. Maximum impact, minimal effort. Just how I like it.
